Martha Blackmon
Martha L. BlackmonSALISBURY - Martha Lucille Blackmon, 52, formerly of Salisbury, who departed her life her on earth on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at The Levine & Dickinson Hospice House in Huntersville, was born to Mrs. Annie Mae Rankin Blackmon and the late Charles Edward Blackmon on Aug. 10, 1959, in Rowan County.
She was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church and was a teacher's assistant for 30 years for Charlotte- Mecklenberg School System.
Her memories will be cherished by her mother, Annie M. Blackmon of Cleveland; sister Patricia Blackmon of Cleveland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service and Visitation: Funeral service will be Sunday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. at Mount Tabor Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to funeral or the home of her mother at 121 Brevard St. Cleveland.
